Outreach to help others that are in distress.

Many of you know last year we went to Gatlinburg, Tennessee  to help our neighbors in distress with wildfires.  And the year prior to that we were helping our own community deal with the horrific flood that hit Columbia, South Carolina.

Once again we have people in need, and this time it's in TEXAS!

The devastation left from Hurricane Harvey has left thousands of people in a desperate situation.

Our Response:

We will MOBILIZE and answer the call!

We have partnered with several local Businesses, Churches, Non-Profits, and Individuals to fill a Semi-Truck with needed

items to personally deliver to shelters in the hardest hit areas of Texas.

You can participate by donating supplies to fill this truck and or a financial contribution.  Simply go to the PHP Donation Collection Sites Tab and find a location nearest to you where you can drop off supplies starting this Friday, September 1, 2017,

There are drop off locations in Richland, Lexington, and Kershaw Counties.

I've provided the contact name and phone number for each location so please call the location to verify hours of operation and any other specific instructions that site may have.

Here is a list of suggested items that are needed and easy to load, ship and unload.  Everyone involved in this mobilization are volunteers and even on the receiving end in Texas at the distribution center.

Suggested items and supply list:

Bottled Water & Cases of  Drinks

Toiletries - ANY and ALL

Cleaning Supplies & Trash Bags

Large Construction Trash Bags

Diapers & Wipes

TARPS - Any and all sizes

Canned & Boxed Food

PET FOOD (Dog & Cat)

NEW Undergarments & Clothes

LARGE and EXTRA LARGE SIZE clothes are in great demand

**Note that all clothes need to be placed in plastic containers with lids and labeled**

The Semi Truck will be leaving Saturday, September 9, 2017, and arrive in Texas Sunday, September 10th.

We will have staff on the ground there to assist with the unloading and distribution.

We will also be going into the shelters to pray for and encourage the people.
